The 34th Annual Cape May Jazz Festival takes place in a few weeks, November 12 – 14, 2010. We don’t have a full house yet at our Cape May bed and breakfast, so if you’re a lover of jazz, we’d love to have you here. Don’t worry, we’ll let you in even if you don’t love jazz. Maybe.

Javon Jackson to perform at the Cape May Jazz Festival.

It looks like the festival will be as good as ever, what with The Yellowjackets headlining on Friday night and Javon Jackson with Les McCann headlining Saturday night. These shows will be at Our Lady Star of the Sea Auditorium at the Washington Street Mall, just a few blocks from our bed and breakfast Cape May.

Other performers include Taeko Fukoa, the Terrell Stafford Quintet, and the Jonny Hirsch Blues Band. Throw in a Ladies Night out and a few jam sessions, and voila! A Jazz Festival. The event takes place at several venues in town, all in the heart of historic downtown Cape May, walking distance from our Cape May inn.

Additional information is available at the Cape May Jazz Festival website.

The 21st Annual Cape May Music Festival will run from May 20 through June 10, 2010. We’re filling up fast during this event, but there are still openings at our Cape May bed and breakfast. Check out the Music Festival schedule before deciding when you would like to come to town.

Just about every type of music can be found at the Cape May Music Festival. It’s fun to come with someone who has completely different taste in music, so you can accompany each other to concerts that you would have otherwise missed. Outstanding orchestral music, finely oiled chamber ensembles, and beautiful world music will all be available at the Cape May Music Festival.

Babatunde Lea in Cape May, NJ.

Come see Kevin Burke, hailed by the New York Times as being “one of the great living Celtic fiddlers” who will take play May 20, 2010, with Cal Scott. Stomp your feet on Sunday May 30 to the bright sounds of the Atlantic Brass Band. Delve into the profound percussion of Babatunde Lea. The choice isn’t actually limitless, but it is certainly impressive.

We invite you to relax at our Cape May bed and breakfast during the Music Festival. Doze on our expansive porch, join us for a glass of wine and conversation in the evening, and restore yourself with delicious food each morning. You just can’t go wrong.
