Spend Easter at our Cape May NJ Bed and Breakfast

Friday, April 8th, 2011

Each year we enjoy celebrating Easter at our Cape May NJ Bed and Breakfast. We fill the inn with Easter baskets, Easter hats (we love any occasion to wear a lovely hat), and candy. We hide eggs, and laugh as you try to find them. And then, of course, there is the bunny cake.

The 2010 Easter Bunny Cake at John F. Craig.

Ah, the Easter Bunny Cake. We bake it, you help decorate it. We’ve had all sorts of bunnies in the past: outrageous bunnies, funny bunnies, pretty bunnies… you name it. It’s always interesting to discover the inner bunny lurking within guests of our Cape May NJ Bed and Breakfast; but the best part, of course, is eating the bunny.

Guests interested in attending church on Easter morning will find several options close to our inn:
First Presbyterian Church
Cape Island Baptist Church
Our Lady Star of the Sea
Cape May United Methodist Church

After church, many people – locals and visitors alike – take part in the Easter Stroll along the Washington Street Mall (1 p.m., April 24, 2011). It’s fun to participate in the Easter Stroll and it’s fun to watch.

We still have one room open at our Bed and Breakfast Cape May NJ during the weekend of April 22, 2011. Hope to see you then.

Hop Over to Cape May for Easter

Wednesday, March 17th, 2010

We embrace holidays at our bed and breakfast Cape May NJ. After all, we like any excuse for a party. It should come as no surprise, therefore, that we are already planning for our Easter celebration.

As usual, there is plenty to do in Cape May over Easter weekend. Walk up to the top of the Cape May Lighthouse, or the World War II Lookout Tower. Enjoy a walking tour of historic downtown, or a wine cellar tour and wine tasting at the Cape May Winery, where you can sample their newest Victorian wine. The options are endless.

Make history. Leave your mark on the John F. Craig 2010 Easter Bunny Cake, like this lucky couple did in 2009.

Here at our bed and breakfast Cape May, we’re gearing up for our annual Easter bunny cake bake. It’s as fun to see as it is to eat! And we are already casting our eyes about for the best places to hide eggs. So far, we haven’t found any left over from last year.

If you feel inclined to bring your finery, you may like to participate in the Annual Easter Fashion Stroll from 1 to 3pm on the Washington Street Mall. It is reminiscent of bygone days, when folks enjoyed being seen and seeing others dressed in their Easter best.
