Social Security takes Cape May by storm
Yes, it’s true. Social Security is available in Cape May through August 29, to residents and visitors alike. Don’t bring your deposit slips, however. This Social Security will fill you with laughter more than it will line your pockets, since it takes place at the Cape May Stage Professional Equity Theater. This Social Security takes place in 1980s Manhattan, and follows the lives of trendy, chic art dealers and their not so trendy or chic family. Interference, confusion, and romance all combine to make sparks fly and laughter take over.
Written by Andrew Bergman, who also wrote Blazing Saddles and Soapdish, Social Security has an amazing ensemble cast featuring real-life couple Lynn and Ronald Cohen. We are fortunate to have such first-rate theater here in our little seaport town, and we head to the theater ourselves whenever we can.
Social Security, at the Cape May Theater, runs Tuesdays through Sundays at 8pm. If you feel spontaneous, why not consider the “Fill the Hole” Special at our Cape May bed and breakfast: book a room that fills a gap in our schedule (with the exception of Friday or Saturday nights). While you are here, see Social Security.
